GST Compliance | F5 Return

Your F5, drafted from the books.

Standard-rated, zero-rated and exempt supplies, plus the input tax you are claiming, all drafted from the ledger the rest of your finance team already posts to. Every box ties back to the transactions behind it, so a reviewer can drill from any figure to its source before anything is submitted.

F5 Return FAQ

What buyers ask.

We already file the F5 in twenty minutes. What does this change?

Probably not the twenty minutes. What it changes is what happens when someone asks where a figure came from. Every box on the drafted return links back to the invoices and bills that produced it, so the answer is a drill-down rather than an afternoon rebuilding a spreadsheet.

How is the return drafted?

From the same ledger that runs your receivables and payables. Nothing is re-keyed and nothing is uploaded into a separate filing tool, so the return and the books cannot disagree. If the books move after you draft, the draft moves with them.

What happens to blocked input tax?

It is tagged at the bill when the bill is captured, not decided at quarter end. Blocked items are excluded from the claim and shown as excluded, so the position you file is one you can support if it is reviewed.

Can our accountant review before we submit?

Yes. Reviewer access is read-only and scoped to the period, with the drafted return, the variances and the supporting documents all in one place. Sign-off is captured with the user and the timestamp against the period.

What if we need to correct a return after filing?

Corrections are handled as their own filing against the original period, with the reason and the evidence attached. The original stays on the record rather than being overwritten, which is what an auditor expects to see.

We file for several entities. Does that work?

Yes. Each entity drafts its own return on its own calendar, and the group view shows who is drafted, reviewed and submitted. Adding an entity does not mean adding a spreadsheet.
