For Professional Services

Bill the work. File the compliance. Move on.

Project billing, time tracking, retainers and milestone invoicing. CA and CS firms get multi-client filing dashboards. Agencies and consultancies get the AR ledger they actually wanted.

What professional services need

People-led billing, with the tax built in.

Time turns into invoices. Invoices turn into compliance. Compliance turns into retained clients. The platform that knows the chain.

Time tracking

Per project, per person, per task. Approved timesheets convert into invoiceable entries.

Project billing

Time-and-materials, fixed-fee, milestone, retainer. Mix and match per client.

Retainers

Recurring retainer invoices, hours-bank tracking, overage billing. Auto-roll into next period.

Multi-client compliance

For CA / CS firms: a dashboard of every client's filings, deadlines and statuses across the practice.

Expense reimbursement

Project expenses captured, approved, reimbursed and billed back to the client (with markup).

WIP reporting

Work-in-progress tracked per project and per client. Realisation rate and write-off visibility.

For CA & CS firms

Every client. Every filing. One dashboard.

Run your firm like the practice it is. Each client is an entity inside OneFinOps with its own books, GSTINs, statutory calendar and filing history. Your team sees the firm-wide deadline view; partners see realisation; clients see what they need.

  • Multi-client master with role-scoped access
  • Firm-wide filing calendar across all clients
  • White-labelled client portal with deliverable tracking
  • Realisation, WIP and write-off analytics per partner

Professional services FAQ

What firms ask before they switch.

I run a CA / CS firm. How is this different from my practice software?

Practice software (Xero Practice, Tally on Cloud, KDK) focuses on bookkeeping for clients. OneFinOps is the next layer: each client gets the full FinOps platform, your firm gets a multi-client dashboard, and your billing-and-compliance for the firm itself runs on the same engine. Many partners run their firm on OneFinOps and onboard clients onto it for retainer-grade visibility.

Can clients log in to see their own data?

Yes. White-labelled client portals with role-scoped views. Clients see their books, filings and documents; partners see the firm-wide view; staff see assigned clients. Time-bound, evidence-backed deliverables.

How does retainer billing work?

Recurring retainer invoices auto-generated on the cadence you set. Hours-bank tracks utilisation; overages billed at the agreed T&M rate. Roll-overs, swaps and pauses supported. Retainer renewals trigger reminders 30/60 days out.

What about WIP, realisation and write-offs?

Time logged but not yet billed sits as WIP. Invoiced revenue / WIP gives you realisation rate per project, partner and client. Write-offs (time billed but written down) tracked with reason. Profitability views per project and per partner.

How do you handle multi-state GST for an agency?

Place-of-supply for service invoices is determined per client billing address (Sec 12 IGST Act). Inter-state services bill IGST; intra-state bill CGST + SGST. Supplies to SEZ units handled separately as zero-rated. Your GST returns are drafted from the invoices automatically.

Can we use this just for our internal finance, not client-facing?

Yes. Many agencies and consultancies run OneFinOps purely for their own finance, AR, AP, compliance, taxes, without exposing it to clients. The client portal is opt-in per client.
