What does TDS deduction certificate mean?

TDS deduction certificate is another name for TDS Certificate (Form 16/16A). A TDS certificate is a document issued by the deductor to the deductee certifying the amount of TDS deducted and deposited, issued as Form 16 for salary and Form 16A for non-salary payments.
